Sad news! There will be no Professor Gizmo's Summer Science Camp in New Smyrna Beach Florida in 2009. We had a blast last summer, but Professor Gizmo has gotten so many other events scheduled with his job at New Smyrna Beach High School that there isn't time to have a camp this year. In our science camp, you can be assured that your child will learn real science while having lots of fun. This camp is designed for current 2nd through 5th graders. Check out the pictures and read the quotes from some of our satisfied families.

Professor Gizmo has a long history of making science fun for children. Currently he is a teacher at New Smyrna Beach High School. As a credentialed science teacher with 20 years of experience, he knows what it takes to keep children interested. He presented science programs in North Carolina for six years. For four years he held week-long science camps for elementary students in Asheville. You can be sure that your child is learning real, time-tested science.

Professor Gizmo gets lots of help from his wife, Dana, who taught science and has a masters degree in education. Together they present a program that your child will love!

Some of the activities that our campers do are:
Making and decorating their own lab coat
Making gooey, stretchy polymers
Building their own balancing toy
Making an ultraviolet light detector
Making ice cream the scientific way
Making a diver that teaches how subs work
Plus many, many more!

All activities have been tested with hundreds of children, with safety always a priority! The classroom is conveniently located at United Church of Christ on Washington Avenue in New Smyrna Beach. Class size is limited to 20 children, so that they can get the attention they need. Check back in 2010 to find dates and times for our camp.
